WERU-FM, a not-for-profit community radio station, seeks a highly organized person to fill the position of Membership Manager. Duties include managing a membership database/constituent relationship management system (CRM), membership correspondence, daily electronic contritutions, using CRM for membership cultivation and data entry. WERU Community Radio is an independent, noncommercial, educational media organization. Our mission is to engage with the community to provide diverse music, entertainment and alternative news and public affairs programming, with emphasis on local people, issues and cultures.
WERU’s broadcast signal covers an area of Maine that includes the Midcoast and Downeast Coastal Regions (from Waldoboro to Gouldsboro), and inland throughout the Bangor Region. WERU broadcasts at 89.9 FM along the coast with 12,000 watts of power and at lower power in Bangor at 99.9 FM. Listeners can access WERU far and wide over the Internet at
WERU broadcasts 55 locally produced music programs that are hosted by volunteers, providing everything from folk to jazz to rock to hip hop and more. We play approximately 800 different artists per week and 10,000 albums annually. On the news and public affairs side of programming there are 25 local news and public affairs shows, covering such areas as the environment, renewable energy, child development, local economies, community health and much more.
WERU is funded by listener contributions, local business support and the Corporation for Public Broadcasting.
