The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is part-time Transportation Security Officers at Augusta State Airport (AUG), Bangor International Airport (BGR), Hancock County Bar Harbor Airport (BHB), Knox County Regional Airport (RKD), Northern Maine Regional Airport (PQI) and Portland International Jetport (PWM).
Paid, ongoing training will be provided; no experience is required.
Positions start at $15.63 - $17.27 per hour.
Specific duties for TSA Transportation Security Officers include:
- Screening passengers, cargo and bags for prohibited and dangerous objects and materials.
- Maintaining efficient passenger traffic flows through security checkpoints.
- Monitoring airport security measures and reporting potential vulnerabilities and weaknesses.
A minimum of two (2) weeks of travel in a full-time duty status will be required to complete TSA's New Hire training. New Hire training and travel requirements vary by duty location. This training will occur away from the employee's airport of record. Employees will be paid for compensable hours and reimbursed for authorized travel expenses per TSA Travel Policy.
