DIRECTOR OF SURGICAL SERVICES Under general direction of Cary Medical Center's Chief Nursing Officer (CNO), the Director of Surgical Services is responsible for planning, organizing and directing of the operations and staff (clinical and non-clinical) of the Surgical Services Department (Inpatient Operating Room, Outpatient Surgical Services, Post-Anesthesia Care Unit and Central Sterile). The Director of Surgical Services participates in business development activities, while providing overall direction and management, operational planning, administrative coordination and implementation of programs and activities related to perioperative services. Bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited program required, Master's preferred and five years' experience in a surgical environment with at least 3 years of progressive management experience.
