Health Trust Field Service Representative
Maine Municipal Association is seeking a Field Service Representative to provide outstanding direct service and to build strong relationships with member groups in the Health Trust department. The Maine Municipal Employees Health Trust offers the highest quality benefits and superior member services to over 450 participating municipal and quasi-municipal employer groups throughout the state of Maine.
The Field Service Representative travels extensively, presenting workshops, attending benefit fairs and conferences, and conducting meetings regarding the employee benefits programs the Trust offers to employer groups and members. The Field Service Representative will also make customer service visits and ensure a high level of service to Health Trust members, as well as advising municipal officials of trends in employee benefits and the programs of the Trust.
This challenging and interesting position operates with a great deal of independence and flexibility, and the ability to work remotely, backed up by a strong support team in the main office. Field Service Representatives set their own schedule to ensure that all their member groups are visited annually and that service needs are being met utilizing technology and by phone. This Representative will support members in an assigned territory that primarily encompasses the northern half of the state. Travel will include some planned overnights and regular visits to the main office in Augusta.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in group health and related employee benefits programs, and have the ability to present and explain details about these programs in an approachable manner that makes them understandable to a wide audience. The successful candidate will possess excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong decision making skills and the ability to work well with others collegially within a team environment, as well as to work well independently, is essential. A college degree is preferred, however experience and/or an equivalent combination of education with experience will be considered.
