Bar Harbor Whale Watch Co. is seeking quality applicants for Crew to join our team for the 2018 season.
Our company offers a wide variety of boat cruises including Whale Watching, Nature Cruises, Seabird Watching, Puffins, Lighthouses, Lobster and Seal watching, and hiking tours on an Acadia National Park island. Additional boat operations include tendering passengers from visiting cruise ships and conducting a variety of special charters. Bar Harbor Whale Watch also provides a safe working platform for Allied Whale and College of the Atlantic to conduct observational research on marine mammals.
Providing quality customer service and safe a platform for passengers is very important. Working on the Gulf of Maine for us can be fun and rewarding but it is also demanding. All of our vessels are United States Coast Guard inspected, and we require a high quality of crew to meet this standard.
Candidates need to have patience and great customer service skills. Preferred candidates can work early spring through the beginning of November. Previous boat experience is helpful, but not required, as new crew training is provided. All positions require pre-employment and random drug screening.
