After 38 years of service to Aroostook Mental Health Center (AMHC), our current Chief Executive Officer is retiring! As a result, we are seeking a dynamic Chief Executive Officer at our Central Administrative Office in Caribou who embraces community values and diversity and can navigate the changing behavioral health environment. This individual will lead the organization's efforts to fulfill its vision, mission and values, and to provide management and direction to effectively carry out AMHC's overall operations in a fiscally and programmatically responsible manner.

Be passionate about AMHC's mission of providing services to individuals with mental health conditions, substance abuse diagnoses and brain injuries within a framework of wellness, recovery and enhancing the quality of life for adults, children and their families.

Be skilled in a public policy, advocacy role while being a strong collaborator as a community partner.
Build and maintain partnerships with national, state and local governmental entities, legislators, community groups, other providers, and advocacy groups.
Have a strong track record of working collaboratively with a Board of Directors, Senior Leadership Team, and the communities it serves.
Have a track record of reliably producing results, innovation, diversification of revenue, and business development expertise; have an understanding of behavioral healthcare and human services trends and possess a "global perspective".
Possess a management style that is inclusive, participatory, transparent, and engaging while being decisive and an effective problem solver; has a commitment to "team" and individual staff growth and development.
Master's degree in a related field is preferred.
Six or more years of progressive leadership experience.
Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain exceptional relationships with all staff levels, individuals receiving services from the organization, their families and external entities.
Strong written, oral communication and public speaking skills.
Experience working collaboratively and effectively with diverse groups including the Board of Directors, local, state, and federal officials.
Demonstrated organization skills, ability to prioritize work tasks, and satisfactorily adhere to projected timeframes.
