The City of Brewer is seeking a highly motivated individual with strong leadership and communication skills to fill the position of the Technology Director. The successful candidate will have the ability to anticipate and plan for future technological needs across all city departments, as well as responding to IT related issues. This position oversees software and hardware development and maintenance, and serves as the system Administrator. The director manages technology office functions such as budgeting, purchasing, accounts payable, and inventory control. Experience with government software such as Munis, Vision, and WatchGuard is desirable. This is a full-time position, with a competitive salary and benefits package. A bachelor's degree in a computer science field, or a relevant combination of 5 years' experience and education is required. The successful applicant will possess excellent customer-service skills and the ability to train and motivate a diverse team of employees, as well as writing policies, ordinances, and grants.
