Communications Administrative Assistant
Part-time Communications Administrative Assistant for Congregation Beth El in Bangor. New position for a friendly and confident person to develop and coordinate communications, and manage data, online gatherings, and website for a vibrant and growing organization. Applicants should have at least one year experience working in a small office, preferably for a not-for-profit and experience working in communications.
Duties will include the management of website calendar and Google Calendar, Google Suite, Microsoft Office Suite, Zoom accounts, and social media applications. Applicant will send out weekly congregational email, create print publications, and acknowledge letters and emails. The applicant will be the “voice of the office” by phone and email communicating effectively and personably to meet needs, and be able to prioritize tasks and accomplish them with minimal supervision as well as attend to unexpected issues that arise. It is preferred, but not required, that applicants have proficiency in QuickBooks or comparable application, MailChimp, and Squarespace; experience with Judaic practices and rituals; and basic knowledge of privacy and discretionary practices.
