Product Assembly/Shipping Associate

Job Summary: Orono Spectral Solutions (OSS) is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Product Assembly and Shipping Associate to join our small team. The successful candidate will take responsibility for assembling our plastic testing products, preparing them for shipment, and completing customer orders accurately and efficiently. Associate Location: Orono Spectral Solutions (OSS), Inc. in Hermon, Maine

Job Type: Full-Time / Part-Time Flexible Weekly Hours

Role and Responsibilities:

• Assemble products according to specifications and quality standards.
• Inspect and test assembled products to ensure they meet quality requirements.
• Package products securely to prevent damage during shipping.
• Label and prepare packages for shipment, including generating shipping labels and documentation.
• Maintain inventory of shipping supplies and report any shortages.
• Operate shipping software and equipment to process orders.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production and shipping deadlines.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow safety protocols and company policies at all times.

Preferred Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in assembly, shipping, or a related field.
• Takes pride in detailed tracking and workspace organization.
• Enjoys working alone and as part of a team.
• Comfortable with basic computer skills for tracking parts and arranging for shipping.
• Physical ability to lift and move packages up to 75 pounds.
