Part-Time Town Administrator

Prospect Maine is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented administrative professional to be our Town Administrator. Candidates must be self-directed in day-to-day tasks. Our ideal applicant has experience with grant-writing, accounting, and  working for (or closely with) local government.

This part-time role includes the following duties: Town Clerk, Tax Collector, Deputy Treasurer, Registrar of Voters, Public Access Officer, Deputy E911 Addressing Officer, Bureau of Motor Vehicles Agent, Inland Fisheries & Wildlife Agent, Excise Tax Collector, GA Officer, Notary for the Town, Administrative Assistant to the Select Board.

Requirements:

-  Background check

-  2+ years experience as an executive administrator or college degree in relevant field of study

-  Strong and consistent customer service skills

-  Ability to work under pressure from the public & maintain a pleasant attitude

-  Must have basic computer and accounting skills

-  Ability to communicate effectively – verbal and written

-  Attend all required trainings & obtain certification as ME Municipal Agent

-  Ability to maintain confidential & sensitive information

-  Maintain working relationships with staff, town officials, and general public

The Administrator will implement the directives of the Selectboard and be a leader in communicating policies to municipal employees and the public.

This is a part time position. Base salary $29k for 20 hours per week. Up to 10 additional hours per week at hourly rate.  Sign on and relocation bonuses for the right candidate. Final compensation will be commensurate with qualifications and professional experience as determined by the Selectboard. Resumes will be accepted until the opening is filled.
