RSU 84 seeks an innovative, collaborative, and enthusiastic PK-12 instructional leader to serve as the Principal. The Principal is responsible for helping our School reach high levels of academic achievement for all students, and managing the current Rrev and ELO Awards. East Grand School is located in Danforth, in the beautiful East Grand Lake area, with an enrollment of 140 students and 40 faculty and staff members.

East Grand School's next leader will have the following qualities and qualifications: - A strong commitment to innovative change and educational leadership within the 21st-Century learning environment; - Knowledge of and/or experience in leading proficiency-based education and project-based learning for student engagement, success, and achievement; - A solid technical aptitude with the proven ability to creatively use data to inform school and district practices; - Capacity to achieve the goals of the strategic plan and mission of RSU84, with insight and leadership skills to inspire others to do the same; - Be present: in classrooms, halls, and other spaces in the school and on campus; - Amplify the expertise and strengths in the building; - Articulate a clear vision and prioritize goals; demonstrate leadership by empowering the school community to take collaborative actions to make the vision and goals a reality; - Employ strategic thinking in meeting challenges and opportunities.

Qualifications: - Certification 040 - Building Administrator certification through the Maine Department of Education (or eligibility for this certification) - Approved CRC (Criminal Records Check) and background check (will be run by the school department). - RSU 84 is committed to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion throughout our district.
