Nursing Instructor Positions
Washington County Community College is seeking applicants to fill full-time faculty positions in our 18-month Nursing program. The academic year is mid-August to mid-May with a required additional summer session. The position is on a day/evening schedule and teaches both traditional and distance education (including online) settings. Some weekends are required throughout the academic year to meet clinical rotation scheduling. All positions will instruct 22 average contact hours (lab, shop, lecture, clinical, etc.) Faculty positions are responsible for oversight of curriculum creation and revision; classroom instruction and management; clinical site instruction collaboration with Department Chair and Program Director, and course scheduling management; student academic advising and student recruitment; management of program standards and assessment of program outcomes; establishing and maintaining collaborative relationships with colleges, universities, and external stakeholders. Learning and utilizing Brightspace or other Learning Management Systems as a tool to enhance student learning is an instructional responsibility of this position.
Minimum Qualifications: Master's degree in Nursing, and a Maine RN license are required. The successful applicant must have 3-5 years of recent experience in the practice of patient care. Teaching experience is preferred, including effective presentation skills. Demonstrated professionalism, strong interpersonal skills, and a collaborative work style are essential. The applicant must meet clinical facility immunization requirements.
Salary Range: MEA Faculty Unit, Level VI, up to $71,496.56, salary commensurate with credentials and experience.
